Soft pity is not a separate pool—it increases the per-pull success rate. Hard pity is a ceiling that guarantees a drop on that pull if you have not hit yet.

How is soft pity modeled?
From the soft pity pull onward, we add a linear increment to the base rate each pull until hard pity forces a 100% rate.
